Can I complete any task on The Careers Department?
You must complete a Virtual Work Experience task. The choice is up to you and you can complete as many different tasks as you’d like, you’re not limited to only one task.
Do I need to have an account to enter the competition?
If you have an account with TCD you will have access to the entire library. If you do not have an account you can choose from a limited range of tasks.

Can I submit an old task I've completed to enter?
We are only accepting VWE tasks submitted between 1 September and 10 December. If you want to be in the running to win for your state, you will need to complete and upload within this window.
What kind of prizes could I win?
You will win a weeks work experience at the Seven Network, with dates that you’ll be able to organise yourself. Along with a physical prize, such as Apple Airpods.
How many times can I enter the competition?
As many as you like! The more tasks you complete the better your chances of winning. But remember quality over quantity...

Browse our Virtual Work Experience page and choose a task to complete. By completing and submitting a task between 1 September - 10 December 2022, you automatically enter the competition.

The Careers Department in partnership with the Seven Network are hosting a National Virtual Work Experience (VWE) Competition.
To enter the competition, you need to complete a VWE task and submit it to The Careers Department between 1 September - 10 December 2022. There will be 1 x winner from every state who will win XYZ! The judges will be from the Seven Network so be sure to make a good impression!
The Careers Department is an online careers platform which bridges the gap between secondary school and industry. We produce engaging, high-quality content with industry professionals to help students work out what you want to do after school!
The Seven Network have partnered with TCD to drive students to complete work experience tasks that will strengthen resumes and portfolios, which will be beneficial for when students start applying for jobs.
